Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis)

This Red-tailed Hawk is looking over its shoulder. Most adults (as shown)
have a chocolate brown head, a whitish breast, and a belly that's streaked
with brown. The Red-tailed Hawk is monogamous, and may mate for life.
It is a large hawk, and is the most common hawk in North America.
