Wildflower Identification using Newcomb's Wildflower Guide
BarbaraStrell (first photo, facing right) and Susan Coolidge (middle
photo facing left) led this training session on the use of Newcomb's
Wildflower Guide. Although Newcomb's system initially seems complex,
the user finds with a bit of practice that it becomes intuitive and
is very effective. Participants in this program caught on quickly, and
were soon identifying wildflowers in the Water Department parking lot
planting bed (first two photos) and the bioswale bordering the parkway
(third photo.)
