Forsythia (Forsythia sp.)
Forsythia is a shrub that is native to China. Their flowers of light to dark
yellow brighten the Reservation in early spring since they are one of the first
to bloom. A number of bushes were probably planted at Fresh Pond during
Cambridge Garden Club improvements several decades ago and are visible
as one walks on Perimeter Road.
