The Beech Path is Shady in Spring, Summer & Fall. Plants that grow adjacent to this trail (like white wood asters) like the shade that these beech trees provide.

White Wood Aster (Eurybia divaricata)
White Wood Asters are natives of New England and can be found in shady areas at Fresh Pond, like the Beech Path, on the Huron Avenue Hillside, and along the Lower Kingsley Park Path. The pattern formed by the flowers is what attracted me - I see the shape of a dog.
