A Tour of the Water Purification Facility
During the summer and fall, monthly Monday evening tours of the Walter J. Sullivan Water Purification Facility are offered by Cambridge Water Department staff and Friends of Fresh Pond Reservation. Here, participants standing on the balcony are looking at the floor map in the lobby. The map illustrates Fresh Pond and the underground pipelines that carry water to all of the buildings in Cambridge. This tour was led by Ed Dowling, Cambridge Water Department Staff.
