Beaked Filbert, Corylus cornuta
The Filbert shrubs, also known as Hazelnuts, in the planting beds at Kingsley Park are laden with these attractive fruit containing the familiar nuts. They will provide winter forage for small mammals, such as squirrels, that live on the Reservation.
