Double-crested Cormorant, Phalacrocorax auritusitus
The double crested cormorant is an excellent diver and uses it's feet
for propulsion, can and can stay at depths up to 25 feet for uo to 7
0 secods. The adult birds appear to be black from a distance - but their
feathers may have a greenish sheen with certain lighting. Immature birds
are brown with a white face, foreneck and breast.
