Common Evening Primrose (Oenothera biennis) Blooms in November
I was surprised to see flowers on this evening primrose since the normal
bloomtime is May to October. When next I saw Ranger Jean Rogers, I asked
her "Why?". She explained "The weather has been unseasonably
warm. This confuses the plantso they bloom in November because they
still think it's October". This plant grows near Neville Place
and is visible from the Beech Tree Trail.
