Garlic Mustard Weedout
Volunteers with Friends of Fresh Pond Reservation staffed the Friends
group table during Fresh Pond Day. This was also the meeting place for
other volunteers who helped remove the invasive weed, Garlic Mustard,
from around the Reservation. In addition to receiving information about
Fresh Pond and its inhabitants and programs for the public, visitors
were invited to taste sautéed Garlic Mustard, a tasty, tangy
spring vegetable.
