Moving In

A male Tree Swallow guards Box #14 at the east end of the Lusitania Meadow wetland. These birds will fiercely defend their nests, but they are no match for House Sparrows, the non-native species commonly seen in parks and urban bird feeders. If sparrows take over one of the boxes on the Reservation, the box is taken down and moved to another location.
