The Stories Trees Tell
Children's book author Susan Cooldige read her book, The Stories Trees Tell, to a rapt audience, then took the group outside to visit a venerable old American Beech (Fagus grandifolia) that has many stories to tell. Here, framed by a low-hanging Beech limb, she shows a young mouse/child a small creature she found in the soil.
