Mushroom Special #3
A Friends of Fresh Pond Reservation Program
We find something special during every mushroom walk with mycologist Larry Millman. Here (top left photo) he shows the details of a large Amanita muscaria (Fly Agaric) to participants. Another large A. muscaria is shown in the top right photo. Other photos (left to right) show Tremella foliacea (Brown Witch's Butter) Camarops petersii (a rarely seen fungus), and tiny Mycena corticola mushrooms growing on the trunk of a living tree.
