A Tour of the Water Purification Facility
The floor of the lobby of the Walter J. Sullivan Water Purification
Facility is a map of the water distribution system of Cambridge, created
by artist Mags Harries. The lines on the map show the routes of underground
water pipes. The medallion shown here is one of about a dozen that are
embedded in the floor. Identical medallions can be found in locations
around the city, and finding them can be the goal of a city-wide "treasure"
hunt.
