Dame's Rocket, Hesperis matronalis
Beautiful but invasive, this non-native biennial member of the Mustard
Family has made an appearance in the new conservation areas of the Northeast
Sector. Like its cousin Garlic Mustard, it can take over woods, woodland
edges, and open areas, growing so densely that other plants are crowded
out. Because it is showy and flowers the second year, it is sometimes
included in seed mixes for meadows.
