Daisy Fleabane, Erigeron annus
Although gardeners usually consider this plant a weed, it is locally native in all of Massachusetts. The flowering time overlaps with that of asters, causing much consternation among beginning wildflower enthusiasts, who struggle fruitlessly to identify it as an aster.
