Introduction to the Kingsley Park Bioswale
This naturalized area at the bottom of the Kingsley Park hillside is
a diverse habitat containing many native plants, including three species
of milkweed, five of aster, three of goldenrod, and blue and white vervain.
Susan Coolidge (in green shirt, back to camera) and Elizabeth Wylde
(not pictured) identified the plants and described characteristics of
interest. The brightest flowers were those of the Butterfly Weed, Asclepias
tuberosa.
