Storm Damage
High winds, hail, and heavy rain during a thunderstorm on July 2 had
an impact on the trees at Fresh Pond Reservation. A massive Willow,
Salix sp., growing near Black's Nook, was uprooted and fell across the
Pond Road, damaging the perimeter fence. Arborists used machines to
haul the trunk away from the road.
