Lusitania Wetland and Meadow
Friday's snow blankets the meadow, providing insulation for plants and
small animals, and the gradual infusion of water as it melts. After
many years as a soccer field, then a staging area and stump dump, and
finally several years under construction, this meadow is about to make
its debut as a conservation area, with native trees, shrubs, wildflowers,
and grasses.
