Tour of the Water Purification Facility
Have you ever wondered what happens inside that beautiful new building that houses the Cambridge Water Department? You can find out during monthly tours offered by the City's Manager of Water Operations, Tim MacDonald. Here (in left photo, facing camera) he uses a large wall map to illustrate how water is collected and transported to Fresh Pond. In the laboratory (right photo), a technician explains the processes used to test water purity.
