Large-flowered Trillium, Trillium grandiflorum
The Trillium species, ranging in color from pure white to pink to maroon and dark purple, are a much-loved group of woodland flowers. Like all members of the lily family, their flowers have petals in multiples of three, and their leaves have parallel veins. There are several clusters of white Trilliums at Fresh Pond Reservation.
