Friends and neighbors of the late Bonnie Solomon of Newport Road gathered
on the hillside of Kingsley Park on the afternoon of Sunday, April 13
to share their memories of Bonnie and plant a White Oak tree in commemoration
of her life. Bonnie, a long-time Cantabridgian who died on September
8, 2003, was remembered as an outgoing, outspoken, fun-loving and generous
person who was the glue that held her neighborhood together. Cambridge
City Councillor Henrietta Davis read a resolution issued by the City
Council recognizing Bonnie's many contributions to the community. The
ceremony was organized by Friends of Fresh Pond Reservation, in which
          Bonnie was an enthusiastic participant.
