White Pine (Pinus strobus) and Red Oak (Quercus rubra)
The row of Sugar Maples lining the road to the top of Kingsley Park have lost their leaves, but the lone Red Oak is hanging on. Oaks sometimes hold their leaves through the winter, shedding them only when the new buds push them off in the spring.
