Insect Inventory in the Kingsley Park Bioswale
During this program participants searched for insects and spiders in
the wetland at the base of the Kingsley Park hillside, and showed them
to naturalist Tom Murray (wearing white shirt) for identification. Afterward
we relaxed on the lawn and had a snack. This Chinese Mantid (Tenodera
aridifolia) and chrysalis of a Monarch Butterfly (Danaus plexippus)
were both found shortly after the program ended.
