A Halloween Gourd Party at Neville Place
Residents of Neville Place joined Activities Director Sue Bowdridge
(standing) Fresh Pond Ranger Jean Rogers (at right with arm on table),
and Friends group Coordinator Elizabeth Wylde (taking the photo) in
this celebration of autumn abundance. A spoon gourd vine in the Neville
garden produced about 75 fruit with many variations of size, shape,
and color. We enjoyed comparing them, made some into spoons, carved
some with Jack-o-lantern faces, and gave everyone as many as they wanted.
