Lily-of-the-Valley, Convallaria majalis
Even in a flower garden this lovely, sweet-smelling woodland plant is hard to control. In the woods in back of Neville Place it now covers hundreds of square feet of the ground. It spreads by underground runners, and has choked out native species such as false Solomon's seal.
