          Shifting Patterns, Shifting Significance
The History of Fresh Pond in the Nineteenth Century
Landscape historian Jill Sinclair kept an audience of 50 enthralled
with her narration of the people and indutries at Fresh Pond in the
1800's. The main room of the Hooper-Lee-Nichols house on Brattle Street,
home of the Cambridge Historical Society, was an historically appropriate
          setting for her talk.
