Sifting Soil at Lusitania Field
The hopper of an enormous machine is filled with rough soil by a front loader. The machine then sifts the soil, sending fine topsoil out the left end, and rocks, sticks, and other debris out the other end. The sifted soil will be further processed to prepare it for the type of site on the Reservation where it will be used.
