Motherwort, Leonurus cardiaca

This unusual-looking plant has characteristics that give clues to its identity: opposite leaves, irregularly shaped flowers in the axils, and a square stem reveal that it is a member of the Mint Family. It is a non-native, and non-invasive weed growing among many other weedy plants near the Weir Meadow.
