Weeping Willow, Salix babylonica
The long whiplike twigs of the weeping willow remain yellow through the winter, and are already beginning to show a hint of green in February. This enormous specimen on the golf course near Black's Nook is located in the ideal spot for this species: adjacent to water on damp ground.
