Construction begins at Little Fresh Pond
The initial step in the restoration of Little Fresh Pond to a wildlife habitat with native plant species was to cut down the invasive and non-native weeds, shrubs, and trees from its perimeter. The second step, shown here, was to replace the soil on the banks with better quality soil, eliminating roots and seeds of the invasives.
