Meadow and Wetland at Lusitania Field
Heavy machinery, visible in the background, is moving soil to create hummocks and wetlands in this former soccer field. In the foreground are two conduits that will carry rainwater under the new perimeter road to a berm through which the water will be filtered before draining into the Pond. The dark area beyond the road to the left, and the stony area on the near side of the conduits will contain water year-round.
