A Northeast Sector Walkabout
This week's Walkabout was led by Hannah Wilbur from the Office of Watershed Management in the Cambridge Water Department. She took the group into the future Lusitania Meadow (left photo), where enormous mounds of sifted soil await mixing with organic material before being distributed to other parts of the Northeast Sector. Mountains of the debris that was removed from the soil await removal. The new garden area (right photo) is taking shape, with wooden fences and dividers between the gardens.
