Virginia Rose, Rosa virginica
Among the abundance of fruits and seeds available at Fresh Pond Reservation are these rose hips on bushes at Kingsley Park. After they have been frozen and thawed, they will provide nutrition for hungry for birds and other animals. Rose hips are eaten by people for their high content of Vitamin C.
