Partridge Pea, Cassia fasciculata
This is a native legume that has the characteristic legume ability to convert atmospheric nitrogen into nitrates that are usable by other plants. The delicate mimosa-like leaves and large flowers make it a very attractive component of the bioswale at Kingsley Park.
