Flat-topped Aster, Doellingeria umbellatus
Not a commonly found plant at Fresh Pond, this one is growing in the
bioswale in front of the Water Department parking lot. It probably grew
from a seed that was part of the wetlands plant seed mix with which
the bioswales were seeded. Characteristics include flowers that are
under ¾ inch wide, growing in a flat umbel, and untoothed leaves.
