Coxcomb Coral, Clavulina cristata

This is a common Coral Fungus, which was found growing on a rotting log among the trees near Black's Nook. This fruiting body is the spore-producing structure of a fungus whose hyphae (vegetative filaments) live inside of and decompose the wood of the log.
