The Weir Meadow and Bioswale
The Weir Meadow and the bioswale next to the Pond have remained un-mowed
all summer, as part of an effort to create animal habitat and a more
"natural" looking space. In 2003 and 2004 native plant seeds
were scattered here. A few natives are visible this year, but the predominant
plants are still Queen Anne's Lace, Mugwort, Ragweed, Common Plantain,
and Smartweed--all non-natives
