New England Aster
Symphyotrichum novae-angliae (Aster novae-angliae)
The intense blue-purple of our namesake asters illuminate the fall landscape and, in conjunction with goldenrods, create a visual knockout. New England Asters grow in damp thickets and meadows across most of the United States north of Florida.
