Birdfood
Trees, shrubs, and vines growing on the Reservation are loaded with fruit this year.
Many birds survive the waning days of winter by eating fruit such as these. Shown are Multiflora Rose hips (red), Crabapples (green), Bittersweet (yellow) and Buckthorn (black). The seeds are not digested and are distributed in the birds' droppings.
