Neville Place Assisted Living Facility
Neville Place is located on the hillside overlooking the north shore
of Fresh Pond. It offers traditional assisted living and a Special Care
Program for seniors with memory loss. Many of the approximately 70 residents
in the assisted living area enjoy sitting on the back patio where the
Friends group has created and maintains flower and vegetable gardens.
Two bird feeders, also maintained by the Friends group, see a constant
stream of birds all winter long. Among them are black-capped chickadees,
tufted titmice, white-breasted nuthatches, downy woodpeckers, house
finches, white-throated sparrows, American tree sparrows, song sparrows,
mourning doves, blue jays, house sparrows, and an occasional swooping
hawk, looking for a feathered meal.
