Eupatorium Duet

Boneset (Eupatorium perfoliatum)(white)
and Spotted Joe-Pye Weed (Eupatorium maculatum)(pink)
These two native plants thrive together in the moist environment of the Water Department bioswales. Their flowering time is August, after many plants have gone to seed, but before most goldenrods and asters begin to bloom. Thus they attract the eye of flower lovers such as humans and all sorts of bees and wasps.
